Who I am

I am a native British English teacher with a BA in English Language & Linguistics from The University of York. I successfully completed a CELTA qualification awarded by the Cambridge Assessment Group and International House.

Currently, I live and work from the Czech Republic. When I am not teaching, I like to go hiking with my dog or participate in my hobbies. These include reading, films, chess, yoga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I am also an author with several published short stories.

Experience

Since completing my training, I have taught 3,000+ hours and met countless interesting and intelligent people from around the globe.

I enjoy teaching adults and children over twelve years old. I focus on communication and student-teacher interaction. I have experience teaching general English, business English, interview preparation, conversation English lessons and more online and in person. 

Do you need to pass an exam? I have prepared students for exams such as Pet, Cambridge First and Cambridge Advanced.

I am open to long-term and short-term cooperation with students. 

What I provide

I use my own material, textbooks and learning aids to teach. I use Google Classroom or Google Docs to share videos, audio, reading material, quizzes, and homework with my students. This way, you can find all the things we have studied in one place.

If you are unsure if English lessons are for you, I offer a 30/45 minute trial lesson to see if we are comfortable with each other. This allows me to assess your English level – and the trial lesson is completely free.

I also offer proofreading services for emails, essays, job applications, fiction, businesses, websites and social media.

Cancellation Policy

If students cancel a lesson less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, students will pay 100% of the price. Exceptions will be made at my discretion.

Trial lesson – free

50 minute English lessons:

  • Package x 5 – 5500 CZK.
  • Package x 10 – 10,000 CZK.

25 minutes English lessons:

  • Package x 5 – 3,250 CZK.
  • Package x 10 – 6,000 CZK.
